You're in a weakened state, ill-informed, not even properly diagnosed AND you have to advocate for your own health, prioritise competing explanations AND push back against the bullies. I ended up having to do research myself. When you can hardly think straight at times, it's a big ask.

Navigating the hospital system and specialists and their agendas is like being in a Kafka novel. On the mend now, but still on an extremely restrictive (and therefore antisocial) diet. Meanwhile despite the LLM which is a bit patchy, the gap in my resume is very difficult to explain.
