Watching this video disgusted me, and my first thought was to sell all my shares and avoid all the nasty deception. After thinking about it through, I have started reading the boards a bit differently. I am now recognising activities that may be designed to manipulate prices. I am also becoming more aware of posters on stock forums with ulterior motives. I still enjoy reading quality, informative posts! I feel that with a positive announcement for MSB today, the price has been pushed down to control momentum. Not a conspiracy theory, just an observation of my own. I have also changed my philosophy on investing slightly. As I am only trading long, I now consider myself an investor in a ground breaking technology or for a process or product that may ease a bit of human suffering. The price will take care of itself if the science is validated, but I sleep better at night not worrying too much about it.

My own opinion on shorting is that if you are making money out of a stock that is going down, then you are capitalising on a purely financial opportunity. If you are also spreading lies and unfounded rumour to create uncertainty and enhance your position, then you are a low form of life.
