This is all about a creating a new way of how talent is discovered. MSM have talked about creating an ecosystem. The are creating a platform/system which could be used to connect music execs/advertisers/social influencers/performers etc. IMO changing the traditional means of talent discovery. Show me another company that is doing this? If I was a music exec looking for the next big star, the Megastar platform is a whole lot better than flicking through YouTube videos to discover talent.

The patents are important to protect their first mover advantage as well as platform. This should quash some of the discussion around the platform being easily replicated by another company.

MSM have made it hard to support their model as it isn't the idea, which is a good one, it is the delivery and user experience that leaves a lot to be desired.
