I read the comments from @numeraire last night and couldn't articulate a response without being frustrated... thanks for putting it into words. It honestly seems some of the market may not truely value the potential of QPME when running at full capacity (19TJ / day from memory). Starting CY25 it should be at about 3/4 capacity around 14-15 TJ / day if the new wells that come online go as planned and the wells that have been recovered are consistent. The numbers I had quoted previously were based on a 3/4 capacity basis and from my general calculations based on current OPEX numbers we have been provided, QPME can well and truly be in consistent operating surpluses from the start of next year. Ideally they get the gas really pumping by end of this year, based on previous figures the time to make serious money for QLD appears to be late Dec into Jan Feb (summer). The volatility events and general pricing is consistently trending upwards because the current transition to a "green" energy system has some holes in it. This was acknowledged recently when a black coal generator got given the green light to stay open another 2 years in NSW because quite frankly, renewables just arent cutting it on a nation wide basis. This should all present great opportunity for QPME with gas fired electricity generation, it is a great time to have an asset such as this.
