La Cámara de Comercio de Salamanca nos ha dado el Premio Pyme del Año 2024 de Salamanca. Un galardón que conceden el Banco Santander y la Cámara de Comercio de Salamanca, en colaboración con la Cámara de España y el diario la Gaceta.
Álvaro Serrano, nuestro consejero delegado, fue el encargado de recoger el premio en un acto que se celebró en la sede de la Cámara y que contó con la presencia del presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de Salamanca, el alcalde de la ciudad, el presidente de la Diputación entre otras autoridades.
Recordaron un poquito de nuestra historia. Contaron que Saloro, compañía minera ubicada en Barruecopardo, Salamanca, se erige sobre los restos de la antigua mina de wolframio clausurada en 1982. Tras más de 10 años de estudios, diseño y construcción, la mina comenzó su actividad en 2019, tras una inversión de más de 100 millones de euros. Equipada con tecnología de vanguardia y cumpliendo con los estándares de seguridad y sostenibilidad del siglo XXI, Saloro produce un material altamente valioso y estratégico para la tecnología moderna.

Álvaro Serrano, our CEO, was in charge of collecting the award at an event held at the headquarters of the Chamber and attended by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Salamanca, the mayor of the city, the president of the Provincial Council among other authorities.
They remembered a little bit of our history. They said that Saloro, a mining company located in Barruecopardo, Salamanca, stands on the remains of the old tungsten mine closed in 1982. After more than 10 years of studies, design and construction, the mine began its activity in 2019, after an investment of more than 100 million euros. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and complying with the safety and sustainability standards of the 21st century, Saloro produces a highly valuable and strategic material for modern technology.
