    Latest Sentinel imagery is 2 December with another due for today depending on processing time.

    So far it looks like they have only drilled the Milly Milly target with two holes interpreted as drilled. However, there have recently been two more sites added which may be for tests on a couple of the weaker AEM targets shown in this image.

    Stars on the MM1 prospect are rough surface projections using the northings from Sentinel interp. SCHEMATIC ONLY.

    The two new sites were prepared between 27/11 and 2/12. [ Another was also added in the north - see below.]

    I am cautiously optimistic these two new sites suggest something interesting may have been encountered in the first two holes at MM1.

    6-8 holes planned with a budget of 3000m means deep holes that take a fair period of time to drill with high capacity RC rigs - 4-500m. This is not necessarily the depth capacity of RC rigs but the penetration rate tends to slow and costs go up into the diamond drill range at +300m or more.

    Interpretation based on these sentinel images.

    ======================================

    I was a little surprised that this appears to be the only drilling but probably is and has been relatively slow perhaps because of the long holes and tougher drilling at depth.

    As part of this research I noticed a recent hole drilled into what is probably an iron ore target to the east of Milly2.. Property has been held by Sinosteel Midwest at least since 2015 when there was an earlier phase of drilling.

    The Sinosteel tenement contain banded iron formation which gives the high magnetic response (reds on Geoview government mag) in this mag image where the KTA AEM follow up drilling is planned. AEM and mag look like they are generally coincident.

    Same area with government geological mapping.

    Banded iron (Aci blue) is present with a complex distribution throughout much of this area.
    Julimar style mineralisation is associated with mafics to ultramafics.
    The Bullbadger and a zone to the east plot along a major fault structure which is possibly reflected in the WNW/ESE linear features in the magnetics.

    Just observations which may or may not turn out to be significant.

    ================================
    As part of the search for drilling on Sentinel I plotted out the access tracks (yellow) which have been enhanced by recent activity. Such activity can lead to possible site prep and or drilling.

    White circles probably drilled sites.
    Magenta Site preparation no obvious drilling to 2/12.

    Activity at the camp site could mask a drill hole there. Interesting it is close to an AEM anomaly.

    Earthworks require a machine to prepare sites which may be why at least 3 were made recently.

    Current rate of drilling and possible additional holes make completion of the planned program challenging before Christmas NY break IMO.

    ================
    Having a PXRF could make some aspects of the drill program work differently. They are a recent addition to the tool kit which can help but are definitely not essential IMO.

    Visuals and XRF need to be treated with caution especially if mineralisation is disseminated. Massive sulphides with good Cu/Ni/Zn should be bread and butter for site geos and trained management.

    Massive sulphides are easy to spot in RC. Copper sulphides - chalcopyrite in particular - are likewise relatively easy to spot and get an idea of quantity and hence grade. [3% Cpy is ~1%]. Nickel sulphides may be more challenging in RC and PGE's will only show up in assays.

    Couple of visuals from a drill program

    Piles of black material are common when sulphides are intersected in RC (etc) drilling. Is there anything interesting in them. Sieve them down and take a look at the larger chips. There was chalcopyrite visible in these and assays subsequently supported those observations.

    A red day on the market with KTA no exception.
    With sentiment like today, and the last couple of days, an ordinary announcement is going to have little chance of SP traction. What is ordinary vs extraordinary varies with market mood. Some extremely subtle hints that MM1 could be interesting - time will tell.
