It's a strange world. RDT has a strategy of DSO followed by a concentrator. Now the multi-billion dollar market cap lithium company of LTR appears to be adopting a revised variant of the same strategy. LTR announced today that it plans a pre-SC6 DSO operation. From posters who attended the conference call it appears to be about 850-1.2Mt of DSO that LTR now plan to ship before putting ore through a concentrator.

Given the wider investor coverage that exists, this is going to get a whole lot more investors looking at and considering the economics of DSO from central WA locations. Mt Ida and Kathleen Valley are a broadly similar distance from Geraldton (although a little longer if you follow only the major highway roads noted on the map below).

If LTR's plan is to truck DSO to rail and go out of Perth / Esperance then Mt Ida is closer to rail than Kathleen Valley. Either way as LTR provides more details about their DSO plans over the next few months, it could help clarify the financials to rap around a Red Dirt DSO operation.
