They are not blaming McMahons at all. McMahons are the above ground contractors at the old Jupiter pits. The problem they refer to is with RUC at the underground Mines at Mt Morgans itself!. Jupiter is 20kms away from Mt Morgans itself. The underground at Westralia is difficult because the gold is in narrow veins associated with banded iron. Most of the historical production at Westralia was in an open pit from the nineties with the rest coming from underground over the last hundred years. The underground contractor is RUC who are better known for underground drilling and construction which they are acknowledged as experts in.
