Seems like confession season in the Gold Mining space. Gold price up so management see less pressure to keep up appearances. Reserve models are tightening, production estimates are lessening and management are becoming deaf to shareholder concerns. Basically Emperors taking off their clothes and shareholders getting caned.
Of course if the Gold price holds up then in 3 months time margins will be high and profitability will be enhanced across the sector. Share prices will be running after profitable Quarterlies and new momentum will be driving valuations much higher across the sector.
Not all companies will leap higher straight away. I expect well trusted, expensive stocks to get more expensive. DCN haven't made any noise that shows them taking their situation seriously. I use RRL pit wall collapse as an analog. Low will be 3 months after the event, then climb out of the pit.
