How many times in your investment career have you landed such a return? I dare say like most of us, never.. Let alone repeat the process again by buying the next bottom and re-selling at the next top!

You'd only need to do that twice in your life to secure your retirement. The example is entirely exaggerated and does not reflect any real life scenario that a reasonable person would use to determine a sound investment strategy.

The first scenario requires you to have PERFECT market timing and is assuming your second entry position size is 750% LARGER than your initial entry.. How reasonable are these assertions? Highly unlikely.

This all stems from hindsight, which makes commentary exceptionally easy.. Although I do agree that holding out on liquidating an investment purely to secure that CGT discount can be a costly decision and is something to be considered carefully.. Each case would need to be based on its merits.

Talking about merit, it looks like the BULLS are taking and gaining more merit in KRR than the BEARS now. KRR's SP is ever so slightly pushing slightly higher.
