I suspect that 400 ppm of a basket of rare earths would produce- 1 kg of rare earths per cu metre of soil (assuming 2.5 kgs per cu metre).

A few mysteries here. Is the ppm measure of the pure element or is the ppm actually a measure of the complex matrix of the mineral that each rare earth is embedded within.

A lot more kgs per cubic metre if the basket contains all the other mineral matter which is then sold for$10---$60 per kg.

Thats also 3 times the kgs of baskets of rare earths on hand. Not bad for a couple of weeks of poking and plodding around.
