A geophysicist is really needed for this one. As far as I'm aware there are two limitations. The special resolution (ie it's location in 3D space) and it's overall conductivity.
It's resolution may prove to be difficult as you have just one or two lines defining an anomaly. It's like the old 2d seismic days where traps and faults would transform onto your line that were out of the plane.
Being rather deep these diamond holes won't be cheep and it may take half a dozen holes to find the cause of conductivity.
