RE- ASSAYS OLD HOLES & SPECULATIVE LITHIUM POTENIAL

    Also posted on CNJ chat.

As to core available for re-assay - Mindex shows MTDD011 & MTDD 008 are preserved so available for re-log and re-assay. Maybe CNJ/GSR have the other core lying around somewhere- as they drilled the holes. MTDD 008 is most important as it is the 1400m deep hole going through the ultramafic sill and well below Callisto, and can be used for some hi falutin geochem to get a feel for fertility of the MT Sill.

I have been doing a bit more digging around and there is an LCT pegmatite ( The Mt Thirsty Pegmatite with Tin Tantalum & Lithium) just out of the Western boundary of CNJ-GSR ground - described as shallow workings - Not much recorded - you can check out the data here- T ; https://minedex.dmirs.wa.gov.au/Web/sites/details/790342F7-480C-4A97-B6E9-82ADF77A6C0D

Core holes in library + LCT pegmatite occurrence shown on below map (I mislabelled DD11 as DD10).

That LCT pegmatite occurrence is intriguing given that the drilling around MTRC 015 is about 1,500m to the east of the LCT peg ( see final map)

Last hole of the MTRC015 cluster was MTDD028 which was a diamond tail on MTRC010. MTDD028 is described thus from the CNJ (the Fission) June-2011 Qtrly:

Below is a rough map of the LCT peg occurrence + DH locations

X-Section shown below was published before the diamond tail- I have added in the pegmatite intersected in MTDD028 and interpreted dip of it's top with its intersection in MTRC015 ( beige lines). Note peg body above is flat lying.

Given shallow dip of the Pegmatites it is possible, but in no way proven, that this could extend to the LCT pegmatite occurrence just out of the western boundary of R63/4. Simple trigonometry 1500m along, 200m down would give ~ 8 degree dip to east. (Oddly enough that's about the dip on known Calisto Ni-Cu-PGE mineralisation).

It is also possible that the LCT peg occurrence is a different body. But also given that these pegmatites bodies occur in swarms of similar orientations - there is a betting mans chance that even if the LCT peg is a different body from those intersected in MTRC015 & MTDD028 it has a similar orientation (gentle apparent east dip) And therefore could have significant shallow down dip extent through R63/4.

But if the LCT peg occurrence and the MTDD028 intersection are the smae pegmatite, implications of a shallow dipping 200m thick Li Pegmatite are explosive for the CNJ-GSR share prices. We are talking a 300-400MT target size. With a 1:1 strip ratio. That could be fleshed out with 10 holes wide step out hole. ( And obviously a lot more resource holes)

However, I warn stridently that at this stage this is just geo poetry/fantasy. Don't get too carried away here until more confirmation.

But it will be very interesting to
    a) See a relog of existing core for spodumene- Could get news in days if they got down to the core shack ASAP.
    b) Get assays of same - 4 weeks.
    c) Do a bit of mapping of the LCT peg occurrence and if warranted drill along the western boundary to target potential gentle east dipping LCT pegmatites - That would take a couple of months.

Could be very nice news flow on top of Calisto extension drilling.
