Off to MEI we go... MTM gains a large, high-grade REE feed-source; MEI gains a low-temperature, chlorination-based flowsheet that promises lower capex/opex than conventional acid leach.
The parties will (1) complete engineering and cost modelling for a 1 t-per-day pilot FJH module that can treat Caldeira ore; (2) negotiate an exclusive technology-licence for Caldeira (and first-refusal over Meteoric’s other Brazilian clay assets); and (3) evaluate siting the first commercial plant either in Minas Gerais (close to the mine) or at MTM’s Texas demonstration hub, leveraging existing U.S. permitting work.
