Just going back and re-reading the previous drilling reports, I found it interesting that the exact same wording was used in the 10-Nov and 14-Nov updates for all key info in today’s announcement with the exception of the asphaltene and bitumen comment (screenshot below).

So this just reinforces the fact that the sidetrack results are consistent with the original Mukuyu-1 well bore.

But with one new piece of info. And without overthinking the significance we just have to trust the specific wording from Scott that the asphaltene and bitumen seen in some cuttings “indicates the presence of liquid hydrocarbons in the Mukuyu structure”.

So in my view nothing has changed with the exception that the chance of having an oil leg / rim has potentially improved a touch.
