I'm pretty sure we will receive results before the Christmas weekend.
They may opt for a 1 day trading halt e.g. Thursday and announce Friday.
That's assuming they can get all the work done in time!

One benefit announcing during the holiday period is that liquidity in stocks is generally less so buying interest on the back of a new discovery can be amplified in share price movement terms. I think sometimes fund managers call it "year end window dressing"....
