Firstly just to point out that I have little or no knowledge or practical experience in oil exploration...
Therefore for what I am guessing and translated in other words, do you mean that the best shot at getting pressure and oil samples, was to stop side tracking at 3600 ?!
On that I completely agree. My previous post was about
bagholder62 statement that if I read it correct, was implying that at 3600m they will be able to know other data and info below to 3900 or lower....
IMO they side-tracked to 3600 because they know they will have what is needed to complete a wireline testing, because also probably they don't have the equipment to test lower than 3600, because to ST to 3900 would create unnecessary add on risks and finally because what is the point to test to 3900m when there is also possibly/potentially more pay zone even lower...
