The hole issues on the sidetrack were due to differential sticking.....I suspect mud weight was fairly high. Differential sticking isnt the same as a hole physically deteriorating.
Note that you'll often run a wireline job where your first few runs go fine but as soon as you run a station log in the hole and start sitting around for significant lengths of time things will go to pot.
