A “gas shows” is any deviation in gas amount or composition from the established background. This may or may not accompany a change in lithology, may or may not be as a result of the drilling process, may or may not indicate a significant or economic hydrocarbon accumulation. It is the responsibility of the Logging Geologist to interpret the gas show and to determine its cause and significance.================= Were there some fractures, possibly causing migration and elevated gas shows?
