From experience SLB have always had the edge on their competitors in terms of tool development, tool abilities and reliability...and also in terms of the experience levels of their field crews. I've never run a wireline job with SLB where the lead Engineer didn't have the experience necessary to deal with some at times very difficult scenarios. In all my years in the patch I reckon I had one really good Baker crew and one above average Halliburton crew. SLB are usually the most expensive and some of their people can come across as arrogant but in the end they were always my first choice for wireline and MWD/LWD.
