Markets have sold off because of higher than expected inflation causing yields to spike + war in the Middle East. The former can be dealt with by the US Fed signalling that it is done with interest rate hikes. The latter requires de-escalation. Energy stocks have outperformed the wider market vs. tech and miners for example. IVZ does not have index funds on the shareholder register (as far as I am aware) so not necessarily dragged down by the market. Given IVZ is a special situation ie. TD expected in a few days and a potential announcement confirming a major gas discovery it's not necessarily the case that it will sell down with the market given the fundamental upside potential in a very short time period. I do think markets will bottom out next week as we have seen a lot of selling over the last few days and markets are starting to look oversold imho.
