During a drill there'll be a few visits from various people. If necessary visits are arranged to coincide with non market sensitive operations such as wireline logging and drilling through targets. If things aren't going to plan (eg a well kill operation) then any planned visits will usually get delayed.

The most common non company associated visitors are locals....often done as a part of the PR that goes on with land owners and others affected by the drilling operation. Usually a nice lunch is chucked in as part of the visit.
