We have already been saved just by the sheer fact they now know for sure that there is a shite lod of gas (and oil?) down there...there is more than one way to skin a cat! If the sample to surface is stuffed again (for whatever reason) they will immediately start the process (have they already?) of running the 7" liner to TD and then head on down deeper into the LA.
Think about it...plan B run the liner go deeper and announce this as one package to the market with the good news that they have gas out of control large amounts down there and plan to do a flow test asap to prove up the humungous find and basin. Way to go...soften the blow of no D with the liner and deeper and flow test news. Market gasps and settles down waiting for the flow test results which should show a massive discovery. That way they are making an announcement after the fact they cant get a sample but we have done this to phase us in and to preserve the well for flow testing. Too much risk going a third time for sample so we have taken the next prudent steps...all good! IMHO that is what I reckon they will do if the sample is stuffed again.
