Given that Browse is 15Tcf of gas those are some significant numbers that could potentially be involved with this project. Distance to market and sovereign risk will play a significant part in the end value placed on whatever is found. One can only hope that the majority of the basin is light oil as the time and transport to market is significantly cheaper and easier. It is hard to imagine such a resource going down the liquefaction route and although Africa is thirsty for energy it would take them a significant amount of time to put a dent in such a resource. My money is on an update today with Friday a close second.
