Yes so true I don't know too much about chemistry as it has been decades since I learned about it. But yes, as I stated earlier, they are like variations on a theme , so to speak. Otherwise the universe would be made up of potatoes Or like the story of the old lady in a Cosmology class, who stood up self righteously and claimed that the physicist new nothing of what he was talking about. She then declared that " The universe was made of turtles, all the way down"
