This is the oil and gas industry. Big money and big gambling. Difficulties occur all the time and not one player in the industry is immune to it. You just don't hear about it because most companies don't need too report on the success or failure of one well. They are being abundantly cautious and engaging in risk mitigation, if that takes a bit longer to achieve the required outcomes then so be it.
It sounds like you have too much skin in the game and it may be affecting you. It is late/early on the west coast of Aus let alone the East. There is a trading day tomorrow which will provide you with an opportunity to reduce your risk and your stress.
I don't know when you took your position but if it was before they commenced this drill campaign then you are likely in the money. Take some profits and enjoy your weekend or learn to relax and absorb the risk. At the end of the day it is only money.
