SDL was in the Congo (easily the worst jurisdiction in Africa) and Cameroon. In regards to Leo Lithium, they're in Mali which is controlled by a military junta and I fail to see why the Chinese are to blame for LLL's current predicament. The asset hasn't been seized.

Whether we like it or not, largely due to unfair western sanctions on Zimbabwe, the Chinese are the dominant player. A good example in Zimbabwe is Prospect Resources, who sold their Arcadia Lithium project to Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt for a A$507m. There was no "stealing" of the asset by the Chinese, there was no interference by the Zimbabwean government in the sale process.
