Since the ANN wasn't much I thought I'd share some musings after listening to the CEO of Exxon talk about their exploration in Guyana. Whilst acknowledging that Guyana is offshore and Zimbabwe is onshore, these differences are immaterial for the comparison. Important is just how quickly Exxon has been able to bring on a third oil supply for Guyana and (I think) he said they are now producing in excess of 600,000 BOE per day! Super interesting and to some degree there is a correlation with IVZ in Zimbabwe, at least from a hopium perspective of what might just be in stall:

They are a developing Country that will benefit from low cost (green) energy supply needed to improve livelihoods through greater economic development
Reduced dependence on importing energy and the associated risks of currency fluctation impacting energy costs\
Supply contributes to global energy supply

Neighbouring nation's volatility - Venezuela a possible threat to Guyana


Anyway just thoughts after hearing him chat while on the way to work. Fingers crossed SM has a direct line to the CEO at Exxon - might be helpful
