The indication of financing to be determined by late June/ early July appears to be consistent with KIS waiting for an outcome on the Federal Government grant. For grants in the Defence National Manufacturing Priority Category, for example, the closing date for applications was 28 April 2021. The fact sheet states the processing times as follows:

Assessment of applications Up to 7 weeks
Approval of outcomes of selection process 2 weeks
Negotiations and award of grant agreements 3-4 weeks

From this it appears that it will take about 9 weeks to know the outcome of a grant application in this category, 9 weeks from 28 April will take it to about late June/ early July to know the outcome.
