Btw the excess battery production in late 2022 in China was 26 billion, 4 times what the market needed which led to this, now we are back to 1 to 1, so this could be a case of low prices does fix low prices in late 2024 as the excess batteries have been washed through.
This surplus lithium narrative could be proven wrong also with the lower cost Chinese vehicles cheaper in SEA than ICE's.
But low prices has slowed some investment for sure, and it makes it harder for asx lithium stocks. Ignore the US EV news, the growth is in China and EU for EV's
It still takes 10 years to get a lithium mine, nothing has changed on that front.
