Evidence of gas/oil and water contact will only be found during drilling. It is perfectly normal and there is generally a transition zone between oil/gas and water. As long as our hydrocarbons are trapped (sealed) effectively and can flow commercially, then water at the bottom of the well doesn't really matter. Remember, we have stacked targets with hopefully good seals in between so there is plenty of room for discovery.
