I was thinking when Xi Jinping held out his hand to Albo that it was more about restoring some sort of ability to access our/Aust. REE's and other critical metals/elements before 'relations' deteriorated beyond the point of no return.
After all.... Aust. will soon be the epicenter of all things critical/renewable imo.
The weaponising of these essential critical metals/minerals by China has made the West look more to Aust. as the new free world supplier of choice and reliability.
With DRE's globally significant REE resource unfolding, we must be a big blip on the radar.
