    Hi rockj, Im pretty sure that the REE are in Pegmatite Swarms, so its going to be Hard Rock not Clay, the give away is the high ppm

    Your correct about REE's in Clays, the need to have a Leach test to confirm if they are True Ionic Clays at a pH4 to liberate the rare earth elements into a Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate, once you start getting into a Acid at pH1 with Ammonium Sulphate starts to become non Viable, non economical
