The thing is, I have no dog in this fight, you (apparently) do. Whether you believe anything I say, or, feel it prudent to broaden your knowledge of the company's workings, is entirely up to you. There is a certain amount of comfort to be gained from the 'where ignorance is bliss' approach, but it rarely plays out well in the long term.
