    Great Southern Mining makes multiple tenement applications as it seeks to expand Cox’s Find Gold Project
    The company is focused on expanding the project tenure along strike in and around known prospective structural trends which host major gold deposits.

    The tenements cover 54 square kilometres

    Great Southern Mining Ltd (ASX:GSN) has lodged applications for a large tenement package immediately adjacent to its 100%-owned Cox’s Find Gold Project in Western Australia.
    The four strategic and highly prospective tenements would increase the company's landholding along known structural trends which host major gold deposits within the Duketon Greenstone Belt.
    The area has been subject to minimal exploration over the last decade and is regarded as highly prospective, being within 20 kilometres of the Garden Well and Rosemont mining operations.
    "Major step forward"

    Chief operating officer Mark Major said: “These applications are a major step forward for the company’s gold strategy in the Duketon Belt.
    “There are multi-million-ounce deposits such as Garden Well only 12 kilometres away with Rosemount a mere 20 kilometres from Cox’s Find.
    “With the potential for such a significant increase in land holding, underpinned by the high-grade Cox’s Find Project, GSN is well placed and well-funded to unlock further potential in the Project through discoveries and potentially adding scale to the project.”

    Tenement applications

    Once granted, the tenement applications could increase the Cox’s Find Project tenure 16-fold to a total of 54 square kilometres and include over 12 kilometres of access to the clearly identifiable mineralised trends that host both the Garden Well and Rosemont gold deposits.
    The company has made applications over the following tenements:
    • E38/3518: 50 square kilometres;
    • P38/4523: 0.25 square kilometres;
    • P38/4524: 0.25 square kilometres; and
    • P38/4525: 0.40 square kilometres.
    Notably, E38/3518 was identified as highly prospective for gold, and the company is confident it would provide exceptional exploration potential if granted.
    The company is collating and analysing all available historical data over the area subject to application.
