Chri - what a great tour that is - about 4 yrs back i did the deep tour which is stopped as they have let the water level rise, but took the grand kids on the same tour you did last year. really well done proffessional tour - that vis gold - very nice.
two lots have had a go at exploring under bendigo and both failed. a serious decline was put in at the southern end of the fields.
trouble is with these styles of gold - drilling them out is an almost impossibility. the old timers just mined their way along markers until that hit another good zone or ballroom as they called them. To get capital you need reserves and building reserves from the drill bit is the problem.
golds there no doubt but u cant prove it until you mine it.
