The drill cuttings will get split every 1m to make 1m samples and put into bags.
First samples sent to the lab will be mixed into 3 or 5m samples called composites.
If any grade comes back they will resample the 1m samples individually called 1m splits or 1m samples.
You would expect a RC drill rig to get between 150m to 300m per day. You would have the potential to make 40 composite samples for assay per day. So send these off say once a week.
Turn around for samples can be a couple of days or months dependant on how busy the lab is and how big a customer you are. I would expect samples to be within a week at the moment. So we will have to wait until the composites are done then resample the 1m splits.
Also Ausdrill own assay labs so I would hope MYG get preferential treatment now days.
I would expect first samples to be reportable within a month if any gold is found.
The current drill campaign is high risk drilling holes in the wilderness. I'm surprised there is no drill holes out there already. I would prefer MYG to step out from the current resource in an orderly fashion and build the resource. But I can see the appeal of a new discovery for the share price.
Hopefully the SAM survey is a big success, it seems the new management are very excited by the new interpretations. If they are onto a winner we shareholders should benefit greatly.
