With the Chinese either hoovering up or trying to lock up as much gold and scarce minerals as possible I think the Japanese will be prepared to deal. I see it more in the military competition field.
Their ultra-weak yen makes a lot of things much more attractive and their cost of funds and thus rate of return required is much lower than most others. Havila needs to put one of these deals to bed and then the other.
