how i read this accumul8, is that Alcoa need to have confidence on the downstream, meaning there is a buyer & the product can be sold. Alcoa will need more than just expression of interest if they are going to commit $$$ to this, hence Rols talks about incorporating the downstream into the JV. As i have banged on about for so long, downstream (buyers) need to test the product so many times & need to see consistency to move away from current supply chain. your pilot is not on sadly. Rols looks a bit downbeat, luckily he got a month extension to see if these potential customers can firmly commit in order to get Alcoa the confidence needed. i just cannot see this happening as the market outreach has been no existent in the recent 1/4lys.
