It would be in the better interest of shareholders for the directors to liquidate the shell and return cash to shareholders. Since the offer is below NTA I assume Mercantile plan on doing this anyway.
Or an alternative would be to return the majority of the cash to shareholders and appoint a corporate advisory to find an asset.
Time is up. Say what you will, it should not take 2 years to find an asset. Hopefully this offer finally prompts action.
