You may want to ask yourself what is the purpose of rock chip sampling. It is not to measure grade of a mineral resource. The purpose is to sample surficial rock and prove continuation of a mineral system on surface (to drill later). To achieve this the geolgoist chips away at the most prospective grains of a rock. As this is a very selective process the grade that is yielded from rock chip assays will almost always be higher than any drill core.
You may want to ask yourself what is the purpose of rock chip...
