Sounds like it was a messy divorce from the trailer business (smells like the acquirer might have sought to extricate itself from the deal.)
Some would have had nagging doubts about whether the transaction was going to actually close.
And I assume, given that the dividend has been declared, that the consideration funds which have not yet been received are now sitting in a conveyancing attorney's trust account.
I''ll feel a lot better once MXI has got the money in its hot little hands.
