I would think it is very similar but far more advanced. It relies on the DepthVision Camera, so it is far more advanced than the existing MYQ technology.
In terms of the patent, as this relies on a different camera, it would not be covered by the existing MYQ patent, and Samsung would be able to promote this and generate a lot of money.
