Prices usually trade below CR rates for a while as sentiment wanes, so $12-13 band is not unreasonable. The financials are trading at below their moving averages with weak signals going forward.
The next horror for the financial sector could be mortgage defaults. 1 in 5 Australians are already reporting difficulty in meeting mortgage / rent bills. The big question is, are we at the end of the pain, or is this just the beginning?
