As an alternative viewpoint. End of the day very very few sectors of the economy understand finance better than banks, and for many financial asset classes a large volume and capital capacity is necessary..
Often it's the stocks that are out of fashion in current narrative that end up out performing in the long-run. But how many people hold long enough (10 years or even longer) to find out?
15-20 years ago banks were all the hot-sh!t. Did they yield the future returns or was that already priced in?
