I gave you 3 very specific questions based on your question. I even numbered them out. the only one you answered is number 3 and you've clarified you are referring to the manually produced iM3NY cells.
Some testing of the manual iM3NY cells would have been tested to some extent, sure. But they're not going to wait 6 months before applying semi-automation of machinery and processes. My assumption is that manual production was to ensure the equipment worked, identify any issues and ensure a working end product could be produced. As this was proved (with what i imagine would be very small quantity of cells), development and processes continues to ramped up and efficiencies put in place to ensure production capacity meets demand. They're not just going to sit on their hands for months while they test a cell they produced manually. I would hope not anyway.
