“They (EnergyAustralia) had completed their due diligence and were ready to sign off,” he said.
“However, since the news was released about the delay, we’ve been approached by other major energy retailers.”
Mr Kidston said EnergyAustralia were looking at making arrangements for a shorter contract closer to 10 years.
“As far as we’re concerned they’re (EnergyAustralia) still with us, and we’ll do everything we can to work with them,” he said.
“To the extent we get approached by other major retailers, we will have discussions with them.”
