9.45mt is a lot of ore to dug up and transported to the processing plant....then 95% of that ore needs to be taken away somewhere...
In perspective to iron ore it may be a bit like this....
Working 20 tonne dump trucks 365 days 24 hours per day....remembering these trucks have to be loaded somehow too...now that is mind boggling excavator figures...
* 472 000 truck loads per week
* 1293 trucks per day
* 53 trucks per hour...
...all to loaded and unloaded ...then 95% taken away again (about 50 × 20 tonne trucks loads per hour)
l am not doubting anyone's numbers or opinions here....just trying to get my head around the logistics of what is prposed...
