I have not seen the original Caroline CO2 purification plant have been discussed in detail. So only by way of background info, a quick look at the old Air Liquide Carbon Dioxide Purification Plant at Caroline as at 2001 (decommissioned and remediated) from the EIA June 2001.

Bear in mind there has been significant technological improvements in process engineering since this plant design and commissioning and a lot of the plant operations are dated and no longer meet legal requirements, particularly environmental mgt :

- Production Volumes - 21,000/t pa (57/t a day) as at June 2001
- End clients soft drink, firefighting, medical and winemaking in Victoria and SA
- Raw Liquid well production 90-94% CO2
- Location of plant 12km south east Mt Gambier,
- Land tenure - Caroline Forest Reserve, footprint 2 Ha
- Process Flow - see attached (significant changes in best practice since)
- Logistics - 3 to 5 tankers a day
- Water and Waste Management - see attached (not very applicable given changes in environmental mgt)
- Well Operations - see attached (page 7-10, no workover had been performed on the well from 1968-2001)
