A rather long post and seems I have to split into two.

No, the extension is still a PRE14A as metnioned before not a DEF14A, meaning it is just to let shareholders know something might happen and they will have this vote, which will be confirmed at a later date.

the current one is still on, but the only reason I see why they might want to have an extension due to not having the business combination done by then is, IF they cannot get enough votes on the 23rd, then they need to have the merger vote done again at a later date, hence this extension.
